My name is Tiffany Yoo and welcome to my blog. I am an English major, so interesting enough, I love to read. Ever since I was a young child fantasies have always intrigued me the most. Not only do I love to read this particular type of genre, but I also love movies that are related to this. Fantasies have a way of exporting me into another world, where imagination and possbilities are endless. Disney movies have always been a favorite of mine. As a child, Disney princesses have been my idols and I would often find myself rewatching these films, like Mulan, over and over again. My favorite book was the Harry Potter series. These books were the very first books I had taken up that weren’t only filled with pictures. On my free time, I enjoyed writing little fantasies about my life. They weren’t particularly good, but that was the part I enjoyed. I wrote about my life as a princess and acted as if my real life was just a facade. Personally, fantasy to me is something that wouldn’t happen in real life. It does not necessarily haveto be something that is out of the ordinary like dragons, unicorns, and knights, but it could be something simple as an interaction between me and the love of my life (whom I have not met yet.) Going off of this, any piece of literature or movie could be qualified as a fantasy as long as the author who created the piece is using their imagination.
